Most people sign up with AT&T and Comcast with one or two year contract plans because they are usually 40-60% cheaper each month. Unfortunately, the cancellation fees are usually $250. Call customer service and ask them when your contract is up. You may be surprised to find that you're obligation is complete. If so, you should be on a month-to-month plan and able to cancel without penalty. If not, calculate your monthly savings and decide whether it's worth it to switch.
