How
does this work?
The HubbaDubba Wifi Hotspot Router utilizes Hotspot technology
on all wireless connections. This means when a computer user connects
to the router wirelessly, they will be presented with a login page when
they open their web browser.
The wifi user then signs up for internet access, choosing a login and
password.
Once the wifi user has logged in, a timer window and the HubbaDubba
Central web page with local news, weather, and popular web links opens.
The wifi user can then browse the internet normally.
If you choose to charge for internet access, HubbaDubba Internet Services
handles all of the billing and support, and sends you a 60% commission
each month. 60%! And all you have to do is keep the router pluggged in!
(Note: Computers hard wired to the HubbaDubba Router don't have
to go through the captive portal login.) We realize that many of you have already experienced Hotspots
at wifi cafes and other locations, but if you are curious, a slide show
of a typical Hotspot experience
can be viewed here: slide
show (Apple
Safari users, please click here). Lastly, the HubbaDubba Hotspot Router is a managed internet access device.
We do not provide you with the remote access codes
to manage the device yourself. However, HubbaDubba technical
support will be available free of charge to make any necessary configuration
changes you request.
We encourage you to review
the FAQ's link (frequently asked questions) above. They explain in detail
the many ways this router can be used, the role HubbaDubba plays in supporting
the device, and the requirements of the HubbaDubba Internet Services
captive portal system.
